If you don’t know what they are, they’re a Japanese dessert. It’s basically ice cream inside of a flavored rice covering. The outside is chewy and the inside is well, creamy and delicious. They have a variety of flavors, but I just did plain old fashioned vanilla and chocolate. They were pretty good and so much fun to eat!
Exactly! It makes me happy, so they would understand. I have a friend like that. All she does is talk about her boyfriend day in and day out. I hate it, but I still love her to pieces. I would never stop being friends with her over that. It is a really stupid reason to stop being friends. It just shows how immature you are really to not be friends with someone because of their passions.
They accepted me before, so I don't understand why they will not be friends with me now. I mean yes, I talk about Marie Antoinette a lot, but she makes me happy, but they should understand that history is my life because I am a history major. But, I definitely do not want them back in my life. When I learned that they didn't want to be friends anymore I felt sad, but afterward I felt happier.
If it makes you happy, they should at least be able to “tolerate” it! I have friends who are boy obsessed and talk about their boyfriend 24/7. It drives me nuts, but I love her to death and I would never stop being friends with her because of it. It’s really a stupid reason to stop being friends with someone!!
Yes, I am learning that now really. I now know who my true friends are though. I am just a little upset, but I will get over it.
I have lost many a friend, and the truth is, it’s better off without them. They don’t support who you are, or even worse they are annoyed with it. Your real friends would accept your passions, as you should accept theirs. Trust me, I lost two of my “closest” friends, but now I can’t even fathom that we were friends before. Time does wonders!
Thanks for the follow and reblogging! I'm so impressed with your extensive Marie Antoinette knowledge. You blog is lovely.
You are more than welcome! I love your blog, you have the best taste in fashion! I love when a blog satisfies my love of both fashion and pretty things! Thank you very, very much I’ve been reading about her for 10 years now! xoxoxo
Wow, that was very well said! I agree with you that they were lovers. I love Louis to pieces too. :) Her execution is always a sensitve thing for me too. I get really angry when people say that she deserves what she got. I have had to people this week tell me that she deserved what she got. I say you are entitled to your opinion, but seriously her trial was a sham, and then we will argue back and forth. I just give up and say read a book. lol. She definitley did not deserve what she got..neither did Louis. And her poor children. I am reading a book right now called The Lost King of France, and I am crying my eyes out, it is a really sad book.
I’m glad we share similar opinions! I’ve been lucky enough to not come across too many people who feel her death was just and deserved. I cannot imagine what I’d say if I did, though! I’ve heard of this book, but I’ve yet to read it. Their stories are so tragic, even poor Marie Terese. She survived the revolution, but never reproduced or lived the life she deserved! It’s hard for me to look at their portraits, because they had no idea what was to become of them and what people 300 years later would think of their lives…
I am completely in awe/in love with your tumblr!!! I pretty much obsess over anything to do with the 18th and 19th centuries. I am so glad that I found someone who shares the same obsession because now I know that I am not the weird one, which all my friends think of me. Anyways thank you for posting amazingly delightful stuff and I look forward to seeing and reading more from you! :)
Ahh another 18th century fan!!! I’ve always felt like the weird one too, but now they’re tons of us on here!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will try my best to continue to delight you! =]
Hey! I know this is totally random but can you do me a humongous favor and vote for me in this competition? I need as many votes as possible and I’d really appreciate it. And if you can tell your followers and others that would be amazing! This is my dream and I really want to get to number 1. <3 Right now I am 10 out of 500+. It only takes a few seconds. Btw you can vote once a day. It’s greatly appreciated. ;) http://www.modelkarmaawards.com/en/profile/view/1539
Hello dear. It’s really not a problem, it took two seconds! Good luck in your endeavor! Perhaps some of my followers will vote as well? Let me know how you do xoxo.
Hey, what your opinion on MA and Count Fersen? Do you think they were lovers or not? And also what is your opinion on MA's execution. I think her to be innocent.
I think that Marie Antoinette and Court Fersen were lovers, although not much exists on their relationship. I believe it happened only because of how unhappy she was. We all have outlets, which we turn to in order to hide from the pain and unhappiness in our lives. I think she was a much more passionate person than who she was with Louis, although I love that man to pieces!!!
Her execution is a sore spot for me. I honestly feel that she was just a scapegoat for the French people. I think that despite who was on the throne, the French people wanted a revolution and they were going to get it. She was entirely innocent of crimes against her country. She was brought to trial because she was a “traitor” against France due to her relationship with Emperor Joseph II (HER BROTHER) and for fleeing imprisonment with her family, not to mention all of the other horrendous accusations made about her. In all honesty, their escape from imprisonment was their only chance. They were doomed from the day they turned themselves over to the revolutionaries and I honestly feel as if the French people today owe her and Louis for their happiness! Their end was the beginning of the France we see today. Rant over =].
I love love love your Tumblr - we share the same obsession for the 18th Century. I've always thought it rather strange for me to obsess over such a thing, so I am quite excited to have found a fellow obsessor :) I will enjoy reading through your Tumblr.
I love meeting followers like you, because few too many people cherish the 18th century for all its beauty and intrigue! Nice to meet you, and thank you very much! xoxox
I am loving all of the Tudor things on my dashboard at the moment!
It makes me even more excited for my trip to England this summer! Has anyone visited The Tower of London, Whitehall Castle or any other places Tudor related? My boyfriends mother and I are very intrigued by it all. Where should we go???
